Ok Chintu, here is a straight answer for you.
If you talk to traditional farmer and ask him if his business is profitable and you will get many answers but it boils down to 3 things.
1) if he could produce more he would be profitable.
2) If he could produce better quality then as they say "Sone pe Suhaga"
3) If he could produce off season then absolutely he will make money.
So if you can over come these variables using hydroponics technology then it sure will make business profitable. Now the question is at what cost? This is where one needs to adopt business approach. Determine the production, consider average rate and then based on the revenue calculate your investment potential.
It is my experience that Hydroponics is the best option if you need to bring certainty to agriculture. It may lack the false glamor of organic cultivation but it is the only viable technology to boost production and make profits.
