Question Combination plants for Mosambi(Rangapur)

Would like to know combination plants to Mosambi Rangapur variety. Mosambi plants are 10 years old.

Yes, I want to know which crops(inter-cropping) can be cultivated between the Mosambi plants. Each plant is 6 mts apart and plant age is 10 years.

Normally the inter crop system in Mosambi & Acid Lemon is not suitable.

During prebearing period crops loke groundnut, bajra, vegetables can be grown. After bearing is started green manure crops can be grown and ploughed

If you want more income after 15 - 20 years please take up plantation of sandal wood trees

Can you please elaborate. Cant we grow any other crops in the space between mosambi? Does it effect growth of main crop?

Generally no inter crop will be taken up in Citrus orchards . After certain period citrus decline will start and gradually the plants will show stand still position and death of plants due to soil factors ( nutrients deficiency), bacterial and fungal diseases together contributes citrus decline. Hence no other inter crop will be taken up in Mosambi and Mandarin oranges.

Suppose in coastal districts like west and east Godavari Districts multi storied crops like coconut+citrus+banana will be maintained because of rich alluvial soils.
