MOFPI has issued Expression of Interest to set up 100 Cold Chains in India . A last date for filling the application is 17th October 2016.
A maximum Subsidy is Rs 10.00 crore on the project of integrated cold chain.
Subsidy Elements percentage wise are as under:-
FOR STORAGE INFRASTRUCTURE:- In General area 35% and 50% for North East States,Himalayan States
FOR VALUE ADDITION AND PROCESSING INFRASTRUCTURE:- In General area 50% and 75% for North East States,Himalayan States

The agri-business team at IL&FS Clusters offers services which include policy advisory, project development and implementation with exclusive focus on agri-infrastructure including cold chain, food processing, industrial, logistics parks and agri marketing, etc. The team has been closely associated with MoFPI since the starting of the 11th Plan period. As PMA, the team has been assisting MoFPI in implementation approximately 15 Mega Food Parks and 120 Integrated Cold Chain Projects. As Project Management Consultant, the team is also assisting private SPVs, State Industrial Development Corporations in implementation of 12 Mega Food Parks. The team is also assisting various State Govts. in development of food processing industries. As a part of our engagement, the team has played a significant role in development of approximately 300 food processing units in Bihar, 60 of them being related to cold chain infrastructure.
The team consists of in-house experts in the field of Food Processing, Cold Chain Infrastructure, Engineering, Project Finance, Agriculture/horticulture Value Chain, etc.
With our deep engagement under Scheme for Cold Chain and Preservation infrastructure, we understand that to be able to receive assistance under the scheme, the project structure has to be robust to overcome competition. This requires intense project development effort during finalisation of the DPR and appropriate documentation (including appraisal by Bank/FI and Term Loan Sanction)to meet the compliance conditions. So it is important to start early preparation for ensuring selection under this Scheme. Please note that some minor revisions in the Scheme under Ministry's consideration.
