I want to know the procedure of extraction of colchicine from root or seed or tuber? i also wanted to know that how can we use colchicine in treatment of different diseases when it is extremely dengerous to health? If i am not wrong, colchicine induces the mutation in living organism.

Colchicine is used in mutations and polyploidy. For the extraction process please contact the NAtional medicinal plants board, they will guide you.

I know that colchicine is used for mutation but i wanted to know that if it induces th mutation than how can we use it in medicine.i have read some text which shows that the plant Gloriosa superba Which contains maximum amount of colchicine within is used as medicine in mant health problems.
