Sir,
In some mail I read that Chia is called Alsi in Hindi. I was under the impression that flaxseed is called Alsi. As a matter of fact, a Nature Cure doctor gave me a sample of Flaxseed, which is Alsi only. and recommended for growing the same for a sourse of omega3 oils, generally found in fish, as well as some fruits like Walnut, which are costly.

Pl clarify.

Mr. Amarjit.
Your doctor is right. Alsi is FLAX SEED & is a good source of Omega-3 acid, which is very beneficial for health. Chia is the BLACK SEED of imli, TAMRIND in English. Walnut oil also rich in Omega-3 acid. But remember only cold pressed give you Omega acids. In hydrogenated oils the omega chains are broken & hydrogenated. In fact all cold pressed oils have omega acids. Do not buy these oils in large quantities as their shelf life is in few months only.
