The Indian Food & Agriculture Business has transformed radically over the last 10 years. There has been a huge growth in all fields - right from production to processing to trading. The Government has been proactive and has launched a slew of schemes & incentives to promote this sector. This sector has become very wide and there is a need to understand the broad contours of this sector to encash the opportunities presented by it.
Agriculture subject being so vast, the knowledge imparted at Agriculture Colleges gives the graduates a broad perspective of this sector. However, there is a need to further sharpen their knowledge base with specific knowledge on various agri sectors. This will not only broaden their knowledge base but also help them in making better career choices. This will also enable them to perform better in their job interviews with a higher chance of getting selected.
We wish to introduce ourselves as Agribusiness Consultants and Educationists. We feel there is a huge gap between the knowledge and skill level of the agriculture graduates and the agriculture industry where they are going to work. This knowledge and expectation gap can be bridged by bringing the two together. We have a team that has close to 40 years man years of experience in the field of food and agribusiness. Over these years, we have interacted with large number of players involved in various agribusiness sectors. We have good contacts in the industry and can bring in reputed industrial speakers to talk and interact with students.
We propose to hold sessions on various topics that are relevant in todays’ scenario and which we feel will help the students in making a better career choice. With this, we aim to make the students aware of various career options in agribusiness sector and guide them on tapping the right option for them. We would also like to stir the students to think out of box and start their own enterprises by making them interact with speakers who have taken the unconventional path of starting their own enterprises.
