Hello,
In California, can a company stop you from working at a competitor if it's at another location or company? Basically the company I'm working has listed a somewhat open ended agreement, that covers the client, client's affiliates, customers, or client's clients within a 50 mile radius for 1 year after leaving the company. I'm not seeing much work and would really dislike leaving a company over this agreement but I also know this can possibly hurt me later if I find another job.
Also the company that I'm getting paid is subcontracting to another company which is subcontracting to a very large Indian based consulting firm. Does this mean that any company who does business with this large consulting firm I can not work for since I'm technically competing?
Please help.
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
