Buffalo Feeding

Hello,

I am from Thane need help on below calculation

I need to know how manage feeding ratio

Cotton Oil cake 22.00
Chuni 17.50
Makka 16.00
Bhussa 12.80

All Rates are per kgs.

I have 14 Buffaloes above and i need appx 2520 kgs of feed a month

Milk Selling rate 42.00

Milk production appx 2900/- a month.

Plz advice is above feeding is proper or any chnages to be done

Hello sir,
your buffaloes are yielding an average of 7 ltrs a day 3.5 ltr a time which is slightly lesser than buffalo average, more over milking capacity of buffalo determined by age, older buffalo give less milk and lactation period initial months they give more milk once after injection their yields are going to reduce. you can improve your yields by having good combination of fresh fodder and dry fodder and germinated seeds like horse gramm etc. Azola can improve to the tune of 2.5 ltr per day kindly made available.
azolla cultivation is easy you can cultivate in small ponds/pits of 2.5 feet depth in lined with polyethylene sheet leave some mother culture into the pit allow fresh water into pit with in month you can harvest 2-10 kg/ at week interval.
