black turmeric possesion whether a crime?

while searching for the black turmeic there had been a news in the "The Hindu" dated Aug 07,2008 relating to Andhra Pradesh page and published from visakhapatnam about detention of two persons while being in possesion of black turmeric, if this as such is a banned product why you are allowing its advertisement on your site?
