Non thorny dense clump forming normally non branching, straight growing large bamboo. Tall, hollow, strong thick walled. Green on field pale yellow on drying. Myanmar origin but cultivated in India for last 100 years. Has 60 years flowering cycle. It grows 25 mtr tall with 20 cm diameter and 25 mm wall thickness. Used mainly in Industrial products like ply boards, block boards, roofing and flooring.
