Average income in farming

Hi All,
I am planning to buy 8 bhiga land in Tarai region of uttarkhand. The land that I have identified is irrigated with canal water available round the year. I would like to know what is the average income per year on a 8 bhiga farm. This will help me in planning my resources and also help me decide whether to go for the purchase.

it mainly depends on the crop selection...and income may vary from Rs.6000/ bigha (Wheat+ 1 other crop) to Rs.15000/bigha (sugarcane)
