area suitable for agriculture around Lucknow, UP.

I would like to know what kind of cultivation would be appropriate for the areas around Lucknow keeping in mind the economical advantages. Please let me know of the better areas for agriculture around the city as i would like to buy some land. i am new person in this field so any advices from anyone of you would be appreciated. i would also like to know the support or subsidies available from government side.

Dear Mr. Aftab
I have 21 yrs of experience in agriculture and I want to shift to Lucknow by Jan 2010.I would like to have a 3 acre plot for vegetable farming near lucknow.In case get some land let me we can join hands in this venture .Be careful about the ownership of the land quite often the person who is making the may not be the actual owner, or lateron relatives come up to claim the land.Pl keep in touch .
