apartment plot

we purchased a plot for apartment but it was pond 30 years back
we tested the soil the result shows 12 and architect is given design for constructing a apartment with 50 plots. is there any problem building a apartment in such place.

No problem, just plan well

Hi Loknath,
It is not impossible to build an apartment building on land that used to house water bodies in the past, just make sure your structure is made keeping the current condition, ground water level, soil strength, etc. Also it is ideal to plan for any eventuality while building larger structures like earth quake planning, what if ground water increases (ideally plan for the highest level in 20 years, data available with zilla parishad or other govt body)
