Any one with Layer farming (EGG) Experience?

Recently I consulted few consultants. All of them told me small farmers can't make profit in layer egg farming business.

Small farmers means a farmer with 10,000 eggs per day production capacity.

They advised me in order to make small profit the capacity should be minimum 50,000 eggs per day.


Any one have experince? Can you enlighten me?

Contact some of the farmers who have poultry and are producing 50000 eggs, they will be the apt people to give you information.

First in witch area you want to start the business, LAYER POULTRY setup is very costly than broiler, you start from 25 thousand 2nd year you can extend more 25..... try to make 30 or 20 thousand one shed with 2 excess points.
please consider the input and output figures... 50 thousand. means daily you have very big amount turnover, if market will not support you have to survive at list 40 days.
