Alternative for Barley ?

As a cow feed, getting Barley is difficult Tamil Nadu.
What is the alternative feed for Barley?

Corn / Maize can be substitute which is used all over the world as cattle feed. And it is available for very cheap price in both Karnataka and TN. It is very rich in all nutrition components.
Any reason to use Barley?

Hi,

Barley has high in starch, energy and low in fiber and protein
Weight increase and milk yield also increase
We use Jowar and Bajra. By adding barley will get good yield

Hi,

More over, you can fed barley up to 5 kg per day. But not corn.
Even corns also has rich in starch, energy and carb. But you cannot fed more like barley.
Because, corn get fast in digestion frequently, gives bloat and difficult in belching.
This gives uneasy to cow and some time takes life also.
