Sir, i got 3 acres of land & having well water, now i have given this for cultivation 50-50 bases to our farmer. We grow sugarcane & yield per acre is 40 tonnes. We grow soybean, wheat, jawar etc. I get yearly income in between Rs 25000/- to 35000/-

Now i am retiring from my private service in May-2014, I am interested in agriculture, but it is 110 kmts away from my place. I am in a confused stage. What & how to do? My land is karnataka, Belgaum District-Chikodi taluka-Transport facilities are well. Land fertility is good & road acess are excellent.I want to do soilo testing, drip irrigation & rain water shed etc. I need proper guidence. Please help

Very happy to note that you wish to do farming after retirement in 2014.
