Agriculture in Controlled Environment

Hi,

I am interested in farming strawberry in a controlled environment in a greenhouse / polyhouse. I am not from a farming background, hence not aware of any requirement / technical skill set required for this activity.

Can u help me and guide me in this regard.

Dear Sir,
Normally in India Strawberris are cultivate in winter, it requires cool atmosphire.
It is mostly grown in Mahabaleshware in Maharashtra and in north states where
winter is very cool .

You can cultivate Strawberris in controlled environmental conditions throughout
year, the process is called Hydrophonice - also known as soil-less cultivations.
It's very successful trials have been taken in Maharashtra Govt's Horticulture Dept. at Talegaon-Dabhade, Dist. Pune. But the initial investment cost is so high that it is not viable to cultivate it commercially. Some study is going on to make it economical.
