hello Sir

U can start up with mushroom cultivation.
Or in organic cultivation process or opt for post harvest production of products like jams, jellies, candies, pickles ehich u can sell easily on commercial scale.

Dear Vishwanath,

I appreciate your intention to create wealth for your clients thro assets diversification. Agriculture as a asset class,
can offer you appreciation on the land over a long period, but is ill liquid. In todays condition getting labour is
difficult, hence you must choose to go in a mechanised way. for this to bring large scale cultivation you hv to acquire
large parcel of land say minimum of 25 to 50 acres., It is worthwhile to take up on large scale, subject availability of
land at a reasonable price, good water source, and land should suit the cultivation for commercial purpose.
I am doing farming activity under LLP with my friends and doing commercial horticulture crops in tamil nadu, if you need
any support, i am willing to share my experience to plan better.

Hi accessvish,

The best thing is you own the land. Others come later... Even if you don't do any agri related activity, the land appreciation will get more money in the long run. If the intention is to get periodic money, you definitely have to get into the field (through people and not necessarily yourselves) and then only you can make money.

There are several activities you can do in agriculture. You can go for Short Term Crops, Medium Term Crops & Long Term Crops. Also you can get into other agri allied activities like Goat Rearing, Chicken, Dairy etc.

What is the cost of the fund available? How much far are you planning to buy the land from your locale? How much supervision (time) is available? Is it Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Annual? You can select the crops based on this as well?

Its the creativeness that will play a major role here and no specific answers will be possible.

Checkout my blog if you want to become a farmer...
