We have 40 acres of land, most of them are like 3-6 acres bits in different places of the village.
I am looking for advise on different crops that can be cultivated for a long term yield like 5-10 years.
Also are there any special government permission required for any of long term crops like Teak wood etc?
Again this land is black soil currently cotton, chillies are grown in these lands.
Since I am busy with my job I am looking to grow something long term so that I can visit once in while.
Leasing the land has become a big issue these days.

HI

You can go in for longterm crops like teak, sandal. Even fruit trees are a good option.

Teak plantations

Hi,

The black cotton soil is 100% not suitable for longterm cultivation like teak, sandal, red sanders, gmelina arborea, melia dubia. And also clay soil ,paddy field are not suitable for tree plantations. So dnt waste your money & time.
