Dairy farming highly profitable as the demand for milk and milk based products increase day by day,
ruffly one lakh/yr is required (purchase milking hybrid cow, infrastructure also and fodder ) subsequent years maintenance will be Rs.20000-25000/yr, cow gives milk up to 6 months after delivery, this is productive bearing period, these hybrid cow gives 20-40 ltr a day depending on the management. after 6 months through injection cow is going to pregnant one year for delivery you can have right combination of milking cows and pregnent cows so that your milk supply will be regular.
based on your investment you can decide the no of cows you can manage, all nationalized banks will provide loan for your venture for that you will have to prepare a project with SWOT analysis, once bank loan sanctioned visit nearest animal husbandry department for subsidy (up to 25 % subsidy you are entitled)
