What is the rent you are getting currently?

For blackcotton soil, cotton, wheat, jowar, linseed, Virginia tobacco, castor, sunflower and millets. Rice and sugarcane can be grown.

1. Have a trench of any size than can accomodate the uprooted weeds.
2. Pull or pluck the weeds completely including the roots...
Suggest you to go for Bamboo as you will get returns continuously for several years starting from 4th year onwards.

Sometime back I was trying to buy land in and around Arakkonam and was unable to clinch any deal. Different type of soil was there. Water is mostly either well or borewell.
Lot of paperwork happens in getting Organic Certification. Also, the soil will take sometime to get rid of any previously used chemical fertilizers by applying the right selection of organic manures etc.
