Need assistance on how to start up a crop farm

I am from Togo in West Africa and would like to start a farm. Can anyone give some very good advice as to where I need to start from? I am all new to it but I recently grew the desire to start cultivating. Also, I am in touch with a company who are ready to support me once I write the project. Please help!
