Hello All,

I am exploring feasibility of setting up a dairy plant in Andra Pradesh, specifically Guntur region. I appreciate if any one familiar with dairy business and the region shed some light on this.

How is the market like in general ? I hear there is milk surplus at times and scarcity at other times.

Any idea how much it would cost to setup 10000 LPD plant ?

What is the margin like ? How much does it cost for processing the milk and to sell ?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hello sir,
Dairy is profitable business, there is grate demand for milk and milk based products even you can process also, shed should be ventilated, keep two sides open, a hybrid cows which give milk an average of 25-40 ltr a day which cost up to Rs.50000 to 1,000,00. to establish dairy unit of capacity 10000 LPD you will have to maintain 200 to 250 cows and will be like industry, so better start with few cows get it exposed to the business and market then you can expand to targeted quantity.
