Hello,
I m interested in doing agar wood plantation extensively in south india. Kindly advice me where in Assam I can get agar wood plants for cultivation at the cheapest price and what is the general price for it in Assam?

Nurseries in Silchar,Assam are supplying Agar Tree seedlings in bare root form.

330 seedlings are required per acre of land.The distance btn two plants is 3 m and the distance btn two rows is 4 m .

Assam's soil condition is particularly suitable for growing Sanchi plant or Agar wood. The Agar wood oil of Assam enjoys international brand equity.

The agar wood is notsuitable for south india.Its requires much humudity with wet mositure in the air.The agarwood is very suitable for North eastern province like Assam.In Assam naked seedlings arw to sold for Rs 4/-per plant.The same has been put in small poly bags and sold for Rs 52/-per plant.Its very much profit to the sellers.
