We have selected the Taiwan red lady 786 for papaya. please suggest me , the said variaty is good and is it suiteable at Bijapur, karnataka.

Soil is red color and hard. Is it advisable to cultivate on that land. pls suggest.

Papaya perform better in Red Sandy Loam Soil. Care should be taken that water should drain out easily. if the soil is hard appley organic manures like cow dung or Vermicompost so that it will help in better aereation and root development.
