Help on flower farming

Hello,
i am planning to do flower farming in marayoor or munnar(idukki, kerela).
i have inquired about the land cost and i want to know the below
1.does these places suitable for flower farming???
2.how much land normally it needs to be planted for all kind of flowers
3. how much i need to invest seeds
4. do government provide any subside's?
5. can i get loan for this and how much?

Kerela has best weather to grow flowers. money to invest is all depends on how you want to start. it will cost of lot for example it might cost you around 44 lacs to convert a land of one acre with naturally ventilated polyhouse to grow gerberas or carnations etc..it includes plantation cost as well. you will get around 50% of NBH subsidy on polyhouse construction cost. there are some other subsidies also available. Please contact nearest horticulture department to get more idea.
