Salaries to farmer and dairy labour

Register
I'm planning to start a dairy farm(100cows/buffaloes).
With no background in agriculture, I guess I'll have to hire someone to grow the green fodder on 10 acre land. Could someone please tell me how much will I have to pay the farmer every month?
And also how much do I pay to the dairy labours every month?

Dear,
Entering in to dairy without Agriculture will make you unrest/confused and may constrained to approach here and their. Remember how many posts you have posted within few days from the date of joining the forum.

I don't know your back ground and you have not at all mentioned about you to know any one and guide you properly.

Milk production is an branch under sustainable agriculture activity. When agriculture activities are carried out, then growing fodder is not at all a problem. Fodder can grow without much efforts because you can carry out all these activities. More over you will have more options of earnings as well as workforce.

Surely, for labors you need to pay wages, wages can be fixed based on their demand and your negotiation skills to fix it. Normally around 200 can be fixed if you wins in negotiations. Extract work from them is an another stage for you to get it done your targeted job.

It is alway advisable to grow fodder on your own to avoid 70% expenditure dairy towards feed for cattle irrespective of their numbers. Normally 5 cows can be maintained with the production of green fodder in 1 acre land.
Please remember it is not kind of job, but it is ownership. If you take ownership of Agriculture and dairy with personal presence with dedication, then you will be the winner.
All the best for feature

I totally agree with you Swamy that I'm little confused at the moment due to my ignorance in this field but I always feel there always is a starting point to everything.I think the only way I'll get out of this edgy situation is when I ask a lot of questions.

I'm an NRI and I'd like to invest in a new/existing dairy farm with modern technology but I think dairy farm isn't just about milk productivity, lot of things are involved here.

I'm planning to settle down in my village but the only worst part is, it is 90 kms away from the city. With all the valuable advices that I get in these forums, I'm able to learn new things every day and finally I'll be able to take a decision.

Also, I'm planning to get my feet dirty in agriculture and dairy farming before setting up my own dairy farm.

Dear Sir,
Please note, our Dharti/Nature is not Dirty and human making it dirty.
Also, please know and note in golden letters that agriculture is an culture where you will get meaning for your existence in this world. You can show to this world, what best creativity is with in you.

You know the JOB (Just Obaying Boss) Here, you will be the BOSS to create an empire of sustainable self satisfaction.

Dirty is lying within human body itself and do not feel that agriculture is dirty. Without agriculture produce no human animal can survives for few days. If you grow your own healthy food then you are the self sufficient in this world.
With that 100 years will become less time to enjoy the journey in this universe.
Are you from Bangaluru?
All the best and go ahead.

Dear Swamy,

What I actually meant by "get your hands/feet dirty" is that I'd like to get practical experience.

You got little emotional there. I totally respect and love our culture and tradition.

Thanks.
