I have been discouraged from starting a farming project by friends and relatives who have been stating that getting good farmers and workers for farming projects is difficult these days. Is that true? What is the position in this regard around Delhi (Sonipat Panipat Rohtak etc.)?

Hi

The agriculture department will guide you on what projects you can take with less man power and also contact details of lot of farmers who are into cultivation of crops you may be interested in and also you could personally contact a few who may help you out with farm workers. Because a lot of people may not own their own lands but may be willing to work in other fields to earn their livelihood.

Regards
Ashwini

Although it is true that getting work done from farm workers is becoming difficult today. Labours are scarce so their rates are also soaring.
But still you shoul apply farm machines like Mini Tractor, Power tiller and such machines and do farming with least possible labour.
Our best wishes and gods blessings are with you.

Hi,
I totally agree with achutanand getting workers and getting the work done by them is very difficult around the farms in Hyderabad.
One reason is poltry Farms are paying high and also paying them advance amount about Rs 25000 so every budy is intrested to work there
Secound reason is our Government there are comming up with Number of yojanas in which the work is less and pay is good, they just work about 3-4 hours and the cuple will make the money for they day, in this situation who will be intrested in working in farms for the whole day.
Labourers are gettting spoile they are not intrested in working at all as the new schemes by the government with good pay and cheap subsidey food been enjoyed by them. Iam worried if this is the situation where our agricultere and farming will go ???

hi all,

yes it is very difficult to get the dedicated as well as loyal work force to farms even after taken care as more than a family members. How this can happen when the population in the nation increased by four folds?

Also, following points are our personal observation:

1) There is no educational courses to initiate the employment/work force generation to commercial agriculture/farm activities in our educational system for below undergraduate grades i.e. like ITI , DIPLOMA etc.,

2) Both people as well as institutions / government still argues farm/agricultural activities are of family or traditional ways in india.

3) Parents as well as our society validate/recognise only if any one employeed in office cultures i.e table, chair attached works offcource now it is upgraded to IT/BT. Even farmers itself discourage their kids /chiledren to take up the agriculture/farm activities as profession.

4) we can see plenty of cases in rural villages lots of lands, houses, gardens, estates are looks like grave yard since all the family members or moved/migrated away from those places for lucarative job either for abroad or urban areas.

5) Our political party's agendas have corrupted the stayed back youths in rural areas.

6) severe power problems leads to lots of lacks facilities in rural areas.

7) un-willingness to work for other farmers on daily wages/monthly basis in rural areas mindset.(even same people can work as domestic servants in urban areas).

8)Agriculture/farm activities demands more physical as well as personal committments than any other jobs, which is not their in any other activities.

9) It is very difficult to facilitate the person compare to any other activities.
eg. in companies/institution a simple house keeping servants will be facilitated by so many benefits like ESI/PF,canteen,pick n drop, uniform, bonuse, extra duty perks, gifts etc., where in farm/agriculture activities returns are no way possible to do so.

disapearence of values in all for slogans like
jai jawan,jai kisan

God only show the solutions for this negelected seriously silently growing problem.
