Maize can be transformed by MAIZE MILLING MACHINE into food products and industrial raw materials such as flour for bread baking, fermented starch, starch syrup, pellets, and alcohol.
Maize Milling Machine Process Description:
1. Peeling and Washing:
The maize washed and peeled in a peeler-cum-stone-remover and through rotation; soil particles and the greyish pellicle are removed. Grinding: The grinding disintegrates the roots into a mass, or of rotating cylinders with internal parallel saws. Pressing: After disintegrating, the maize is very moist. Significant amount of water can be removed through pressing.
2. Sifting:
The disintegrated flour is sifted through a horizontal, vibrating set of screens, usually divided into four sections of meshes such as a) Very fine flour, b) Fine flour, c) Medium flour and d) Coarse flour by maize milling machine.
Based on the above production capacity, the investor will need peelers-washers, conveyors and maize milling machine which will cost between N5 and N10 million. However, these machines can also be part of the starch production equipment should the investors wish to up-grade and maximize their potentials.
