sir we are in Tamilnadu need more details about Agar plantation south India suitable for this cultivation, normally how many years for full growth, marketing assistance & comparable to Teak and Sandalwood trees

Agarwood cultivation
Hi arasanji,
Teak ,sandalwood & redsanders cultivations are different from agarwood cultivation.If you plant the teak,sandalwood & redsanders some assured income will be there subject to the cultiavtion period but in agarwood cultivation some natural fungus attackwill be neccessary for getting the yield.Normaly the fungus infection will be happened in the very coolest and rainforest areas like mishoram,tripura, assam .But in tamilnadu how it will happened & how for it will be materialised.If the process will complete we can get the valuable agarwood or other wise the agartree will be used for firewoods.So i am expect suitable replay from the forestry & agri.experts for doing the agarwood cultivation in south india .Right now we are having the agar wood seedlings (assam based) with us for sale without giving any assurance of yield.
