Dr. Shailesh Saurabh is the Senior Scientist at ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He says freshwater pearl farming is one of the important aquaculture enterprise and attracts lot of entrepreneurs and farmers as an alternative livelihoods activity. ICAR-CIFA has developed this technology in India.
