He is specialized in modern hi-tech agriculture & horticulture technologies, micro-irrigation, waste land development,tree borne oilseeds cultivation. Mr. Surinder Singh Shekhawat says they started the pilot project to test the technical feasibility and economic viability of growing olives in various agro-climatic regions of Rajasthan in 2007. It is a public-private initiative and profitable crop if conditions are favourable. They imported 7 leading varieties olive plants and planted them in 182 hectares on 7 government farms.
