Having high thermal properties, and high density, coir furniture is going to be a trendsetter in the coming future. Cocopeat, purely dust from the coir husk is used in plantations which saves a lot of water. Coir can generate many opportunities in the area of agriculture, FMCG, industrial, construction, aerospace, making household articles, and many more. There is a huge international and domestic market available for this product which is considered waste. Currently, 2300 Cr export business and 10000 Cr local business is happening with the coir. It’s a rapidly growing business that can go up to 35000 Cr within 5 years. State and Central Govt are supporting new products and enterprises to set up the plant in different schemes.
