Dr. Bikash Ghosh says guava is one of the nutritious and hardy crop. It can be grown in wide range of soil and climatic condition. Right planting and density is required for sustainable production. To improve quality and yield ,appropriate nutrition has to be supplied to the plant. Irrigation management, fruit drop and fruit set are also important to increase yield. Disease and pest management is essential to protect the crop from damage and to produce disease and pest free high quality guava.
