trees and interplanting

I have around 30 acres of semi dry land suitable for ragi/jowar/vegetables. 1.5" water can be pumped from one bore well. Planning to plant silver oak which can give returns in 10 to 12 yrs.Usually you find mist in the morning,but generally its a dry land. is it good idea for planting silver oaks... or are there any other trees that can be grown...

you can grow sandal wood which will give good returns in 15 yrs
