We have 4 acres of land with lemon and Jasmine flower plantation on it. We are thinking of adding Teak plantation (Tissue culture samplings) along with the already existing lemon and Jasmine flower plantation. We want to plant teak not only in the boundaries also inside the main land. We have drip water irrigation method for water supply. Reasons:
1) Finding labor to harvest the jasmine flowers is going to be difficult in future
2) Teak plantations have good long term returns. (I am not sure about this !)
Questions:
1) Is it true that you cannot plant anything along with teak plantation even for the first 5-7 years ?
2) What is the realistic pricing for a 15 or 20 year old teak tree ?
3) What is the Ideal spacing between the teak plants ?
4) Is there any government permission needed to fell/harvest the trees ?

Your decision for planting of tissue culture teak is good.various spacing dimension availiable for open and mass cultivation.But you are asking for intercrop cultivation .So under go physical inspection of your land then only we can come to conclusion.Because jasmine and lemon cultivations are going on.
You have raised some good questions about Teak cultivation.Its common for all.
1.By planting tissue culture teak saplings some assured income on completion of 10 years.This is not possible by planting the roots/stumps of teak plantations.Even if you grow the same for 25 years you wont get any kind of assured income like tissue culture teak plantations.I give the reason for that.The heart wood the centre portion will be more i.e morethan 70% in tissue culture trees.But in ordinary stump teak tree it will be less than 30%
2.You can get income from the tissue culture teak trees Rs 10000/-per tree after 10 years.
3.Any kind of tree plantations will need cutting order from the forest department during the harvest for transport the material from one place to another place.(For example the eugaliptus trees also need cutting order from the forest department.)
