Sir,
Have few question regarding banana plantation as I'm preparing land for the same.
1. Is it required to select only branded TC to plant or can I go with any available TC from any labs? Reason for this question is, as I was talking to horticulture department they said to use particular brand
2. While in TC Banana, Can we get required banana type like either Roubsta or Dwarf Cavandis or like
3. While reading web data found that High Density plantation with 3 suckers per pit is gaining popularity. But i have not come across like this in our area. Is it advicible to go for 3 plant in single pit?
4. What should be the spacing for 3 plant per pit combo. per data I have says that 2m x 3m with 2Cft pit. Does this mean that, I can have pit to pit spacing in any direction (row and column) 2m x 3m?
5. If having 3 plants per pit, does it mean we can put fetilizer per pit basis or should we have to put fertilizer per plant basis. In some case TC says 65gm of urea per pit to be applied. In this case since we have 3 plants in a pit, is 65gm of Urea is enough or should it be 3 times.
6. Any planting season recomendations? Like Jan, Feb etc.. We plan this project in Bidadi, Bangalore.
7. I have list of recomended fertization and schedule for TC banana from single brand. Can we apply the same for any other brand of TC banana or can I apply the same to Elakkibale.
Response highly appreciated as we are starting from base and would like to follow as much guidelines as possible to protect our investments.
