I have been working on sunnhemp (Crotalaria juncea L) as a green manure crop for over 15 years, It normally takes about 30-40 days from sowing to flowering. But in the 2008/2009 cropping season, it took about 120-130 days before it flowered. What could have contributed to the prolonged delay in flowering.

Crotolarea juncea

Normally it should not flower in 30-40 days.Any way the differences in your case might have been due to:
1.Better fertility of soil during present cropping system, especially higher N status.
2.Varietal differences.
3.Congenial atmospheric conditions during08-09 growing season.

Dear Sir

yes it may be due to the sudden atmospheric changes in one side and on one side it may be due to the same crops growing in the same land again and again. u will have to do some crop rotation for certain period to rejuvinate its fertility.
