Sorely disappointed where did I go Wrong?

I planted the best possible variety of bananas namely Ellakai which is always in demand.
I spent close to Rs 1,60,000 for cultivating 3 Acres.
Nine months down the line with a bountiful harvest of about 1 Acre I just counted Rs 21,000 at the farm gate price.
I still got 2 Acres to harvest and am fretting as to what my returns are going to be.
Will i even break even or loose?
is it standard practice to deduct 100 Kgs for every 1000kgs weighed by the buyer justifying it by saying its the weight of the stem holding the bunches or am i being RIPPED off?
the buyer wont even buy the produce as one lot for bunches weighing less than 6Kgs he sets a half price.
Is this fair practice?
I need guidance.
Thxs,
Regards

hi

there are few facts, queries and suggestions:

In Lucknow region of UP, it took rs. 50,000 to cultivate per acre and selling @ Rs. 1,50,000/- per acre produce i.e. Rs. 1 lakh profit.

You are being exploited by the hands of middle man. Try to connect to local buyers/ nearby shops/ retail outlets directly.

It's a question of demand - supply also, try to find out the supply in the market, if supply is max. , demand will be lower and hence lower prices. So try to modify cultivation season as per demand-supply factor.

Try to reduce input cost (by better cultural management of field) you can reduce the cost of pesticide/ weedicide etc. Adopt scientific cultivation, irrigation at right time, harvest at right time.

Give some details

Give details ... how many plants did you have per acre? what was your yield per acre? what rate did you sell it at? did you check the rate at a market in nearest town/village?
