Working of a solar home lighting system:

The system operates on power generated using solar PV (photovoltaic) system. The photovoltaic panel converts the solar energy into electricity, which is used for running the fan and lighting the lamps.
The system requires a shadow-free area for installation of the Solar Panel

Utility:
A system with 50 watt solar PV panel capacity can be used for three 5 watt LED lights and a pedestal fan 18 / 22 watt, with a backup of up to seven hours.
