In coconut from 5th year onwards, apply 50 kg of FYM or compost or green manure.
1.3 kg urea (560 g N), 2.0 kg super phosphate (320 g P2O5) and 2.0 kg muriate of potash (1200 g K2O) in two equal splits during June – July and December – January.
Apply manures and fertilizers in circular basins of 1.8 m from the base of the palm, incorporate and irrigate. Different forms of organic manures like compost, farm yard manure, bone meal, fish meal, blood meal, neem cake, groundnut cake etc. could be made use for this purpose.
Sufficient moisture should be present at the time of manuring.
