Dear all...
I like to know about the commercial viability of Rice Husk fed Biomass Power Plant in India. Is this technology sufficiently developed to make it a good business proposition? A professional in this field told me something, that I like to quote here...
"Rice Husk based systems are inefficient as the rawmaterial will produce high ash content which is not advisable.
Rice Husk has better alternate uses like chicken/cattle feed and fetches better realisation per kg when sold as it is.
Chinese make Rice Husk fluid bed boilers which though inefficient will serve the purpose, if, repeat if, you are confident
that Rice Husk is available in plenty and at throw away price."
I seek openion/suggestion in this regard from someone with real expertise/experience in this field, coz I was interested in setting up a Rice Husk based Biomass Gasification Power Plant having installed capacity of 250 kW as a business venture at Block- Tappal, Tehsil- Khair, Distt- Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), India. The availability of land and fuel (rice husk) is not a constraint, as they are available in abundance. Is this a good business proposition?
Many Thanks!
