hello Sir
cultivation practices
Soil: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils and prefers well-drained soil.
Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade or no shade. It prefers moist soil.
Irrigation: Every 2-3 weeks can be enough if soil is dry; if the climate is particularly hot intensify the irrigations, using 1-2 buckets of water
Mirabilis jalapa plants are best grown as an annual in borders outside.
container grown plants will return year after year if moved to a dry frost free position during winter.
Height and spread: 60cm (24").
Choose a sunny or semi shaded position on any moist, well drained soil.
Put compost or general fertiliser into the top 20cm of the soil.
Dig a hole wide enough to accommodate the bare root with its roots spread out, and deep enough that the crown of the plant is just a few cm below soil level.
Backfill the hole with soil and gently firm into the ground.
