This post discusses the possibility of placing my son Nandi - a fully grown pure breed holstein bull at your farm at Bangalore . I adopted him as my son in the year 2011 as a calf from Lord Shiva - temple.
I personally take care of his needs with dedicated caretakers at Chintamani - about 90 km from Bangalore . I would like to be close to him so that I visit him every day, unless I travel.
He is almost 5-6 ft tall and about 6-7 ft in length. He was fed maize grass, twice everyday - about 100 kgs / meal and drank fresh bore well water twice everyday - around 40 liters.
He requires dedicated staff that I shall arrange or pay for. He is extremely strong but gentle and calm.
Due to his height and weight, he requires exercise and therefore a meadow to graze. Alternatively a large enclosure can be made available for him to walk around. He also requires to be washed / bathed every other day. His enclosure / space must be cleaned continuously and he sits on a carpet (that I shall arrange) to prevent stress on his knees.
I have never exploited him commercially - be it for his sperm or crossing cows. I shall pay for his enclosure / space, grass and caretakers - every month.
Will it be possible for your farm to accommodate my son? This is a temporary arrangement until I purchase land outside Bangalore to build facilities to host him.
Recent Developments (last week)
I brought him to Bannerghatta road last week (7 days ago) since a landlord promised to host him on a temporary basis. This was a mistake and I regret it. The whole place is not washed daily, maize grass hardly fills his stomach and his knees are getting abraded. Seeing his situation, I am unable to eat and feel hurt. Those who wish to help can leave their name, phone number for me to call. God bless.
