I'm interested in starting a nursery plant supply business on my own land - about 7000 sq.feet - in Nasik, Maharashtra. I have sufficient water supply and I already have 59 varieties of plants - ornamental and fruit - that I know how to propagate. I plan to set up a website and sell online mainly. My question is, do I need to apply for a nursery business license to start on a small-scale, and where should I make the application?
