Request for Advice / consultancy

I am S. Sankara Narayanan New member in this forum sending this request. I have bought 1.5 acre land near takkolam in Arrakonam dist recently. The land is dry. In the last two years the previous owner was not cultivating anything here. But before then they were growing vegetable and paddy. The main problem is there is no water here. But I can drill a bore as there are bores in the nearby field. people are growing vegetables, paddy in the nearby field. I need an advice from the members what type of plantation i can do here.

Also I have bought 30 cents land near vandavasi. On the way to my land from vandavasi i have seen lot of medicinal plants ( MOOLIGAI), teak trees etc. I need your suggestion like what plantation i can do here.

If you need any details like the soil type, water table etc I can arrange for the same and give you. Presently I am not in India. I am on an official assignment in Nigeria. But will be back in two or three months time.

You can grow some seasonal or drought resistant medicinal plant and earn revenue. Mucuna climber will ow under rainfed condition. the seeds are used in medicine. 1 kg seeds costs Rs. 40 - 50 in the market. you can get 300 -400 kg seed in 1 acre. for further assistance kindly contact me. ponsanthan@gmail.com
