The slag dryer or slag drying machine is a type of rotary dryer, and mainly composed by the rotary cylinder, induced draft fan, high-speed scattering equipment, lifting plate, the self-cleaning device, transmission device, conveying equipment, hot blast equipment, reducer, supporting device and sealing device. In the daily operation process, once the dryer machine appears the phenomenon of running out of materials, we should deal with it with reasonable measures.
1. Install a thermocouple in the flue gas duct at the end of slag dryer equipment, set a upper and lower limit for the temperature, if the flue gas temperature is beyond the scope of upper and lower, take the audible and visual alarm, then remind the post personnel deal with this timely. When the slag is out of feeding, the temperature of the flus gas rise sharply, thermocouple take alarm, send the alerting signal to the operation room of rotary drum dryer machine to remind the operator to handle this phenomenon, and reduce the time of running out of materials, and prevent the lifting blade burning-out. After this, the capacity of the rotary drying machine can increase by 5-10%. When the slag with high moisture content, or the feeding machine is running out of materials, the flus gas temperature will reduce and the thermocouple take alarm, which require the operator to improve the temperature of hot blast heater and reduce the feeding rate for the drying machine to ensure the quality of the slag.

2. Require the members per shift to inspect the slag yard, reduce large pieces of slag and sundries enter into the slag dryer machine.
3. After the installation of flue gas thermocouples alarm device, if post personnel still adopt band type operation (when lab personnel sampling, reduce production, when not sampling, relax restriction to slag moisture), the thermocouple will take a alarm because of the low temperature of flue gas to remind the operator. At the same time, create conditions for management personnel to check the dryer machine.
