Instead of Jatropha Curacas please look at the potential in Pongamia Pinnatta as a biodiesel alternative.I represent, on a freelance basis, an Australian Co. which is developing Pongamia Plantations in Australia and these can be bought now or in the future.Do note that thes plantations are greenfield projects but the R & D is being done out of University of Queensland in Brisbane and we will know whether our claims are true in 3 years time.

If any one wants a presentation on Pongamia I could consider sending the same.

Hello

Even pongamia is being used for biodeisel production. It would be useful if you could give the presentation on this forum. Lot of readers would be interested.

Another potentially exciting project TO INVEST IN.....MUCH MUCH more
exciting than Jatropha
Curacas.

This is what reply I got from my associate when I asked him how much
will it cost to grow Pongamia Pinata v/s Jatropha Curacas :-

"quote

USD 3000/4000 per hectare per year. Land costs an additional USD
1500-2000 per hectare and investments upto USD 100 Mln can be
sanctioned by a mere formality by the Australian government.

We are only planting In Australia.

Gary Seaton
Director

Gary is an old associate of mine and we are trying to reconnect. He is
also invested in

(STUDY THIS LINK AND GET ALL
THE PARTICULARS ABOUT PONGAMIA PINATA...including links to University
programs that are researching Pongamaia Pinatta)

who are the pioneers in Pongamia in Australia.

Gary is well connected in Australia and is currently out of Brisbane.
We can call him to present to a would be investor but at your cost or
alternatively visit him in Brisbane.
Delhi.

You can look at 100,000 hectares plus and refineries also.(The Sky is
the limit with so much land available in Australia).....what I
expect out of investors is to invest in the plantations and refineries in
Australia itself and have them professionally managed alongwith investor
personnel manning the plantations/refineries.Remember we offer turnkey
services where Pongamia Pinata is
concerned. The potential for Biodiesel out of Pongamia Pinata is
enormous and more than Jatropha Curacas which is a banned plant in
Australia.

What we require are investors with a long term vision in returns both
in India & Australia

The Biodiesel generated would run all the tube wells, tractors and
could even run gensets which could be provided to villages. It has been
successfully blended in Jet fuel also. There is
cattle feed also and fertiliser, starch and ethanol as by products
also. Its like owning your own Oil well but it is much cheaper and
profitable to make and operate. And the land is a physical
asset always.

Remember the carbon credits are there also potentianlly.

I look forward to your reply, comments & interest ASAP.
