Hi
I have a land of 3 acres which contains red soil in M.P. I want to know that can i grow Pomegranate in my land, in summer temperature rises up to 55 0 c and in winter up to 32 0 c . I also want details to grow Pomegranate . is it profitable. someone told me that i can make 10 lakhs per acre in a year in this field is it true.

Just to put some numbers.
Avg yield in india: 6 tonnes per acre.

Avg Wholesale price: Rs 35-50k per tonne

This is assuming best case scenario. So 10lakh per acre is not feasible.
Pomegranate is drought resistant. THis means if there is drought or severe heat (55C) it will survive BUT will NOT YIELD ANY fruits that season.

This is assuming best case scenario.
One of the biggest problems in india today with pomegranate farming is mysterious skin disease which has no cure. Currently afflicting KA/MA as per my info.
