Plan to start the agriculture in 70 acres of land

Hello,
I am having 70 acres of land & Although am working in pharmaceutical MNC company, feeling to leave & start agriculture, Before that am just gathering the information what can i plan for better future. My thinking is to start growing the vegetables. Please guys can you suggest what can i plan in this land to gain more profit.
 

Hi,

Go for the soil test first.
Plan for bore-wells and fencing.
Also plan for proper transportation at your farm.
Make sure that you have done proper drainage of various crops.

I suggest you to go for integrated farming.
1. Keep live stock like fishery, cows/buffaloes, chicken farm.
2. Go for Tuber crops like taro, yam etc.
3. For fruits, G9 TC banana, hybrid mango will give you much benefit.
4. Go for seasonal vegetable, like potato, cabbage, cauliflower, tomato, water melon, etc.
5. Go for groundnuts if your soil report permits.

For vegetable, go for one time production and selling, so that you can save labour cost and time.

Hi nageshdh,

You can leave the MNC job only if you make enough money from the farming activity which is sustainable. Until that point of time, it is better to keep the job.

Growing vegetables in 70 acres of land and marketing them will be a laborious activity. Instead diversify your farming activities.
